This session highlights the meaningful global engagement work happening through Academics Without Borders (AWB), with a special focus on the impactful teaching and capacity-building initiatives.

We’ll begin by hearing from Dr.Jill Grose, who will share her experience delivering Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Program in Ghana. Drawing on her recent work with faculty as part of a broader effort to strengthen post-secondary teaching practices, Dr. Grose will offer insight into how the program help equip educators with practical, student‑centered teaching strategies and contribute to long-term institutional development.

Following Dr. Grose’s presentation, we will hear from Corrie Young, Associate Executive Director of Projects & Network at AWB. Corrie will speak about AWB’s mission, its global network, and the powerful role volunteers play in building sustainable capacity in higher education systems around the world. She will also outline the many ways members of the Brock community can participate in and support AWB projects.
