The Equi-T Challenge, organized by the Financial Research and Learning Lab, is an experiential learning competition that engages students in real-world financial analysis through the lens of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

Using professional financial databases and analytical tools, participants analyze publicly traded companies, assess sustainability risks and opportunities, and evaluate long-term value creation. The challenge strengthens students’ research, data interpretation, and critical thinking skills while emphasizing the role of responsible finance in driving sustainable economic development.

Through collaborative problem-solving and applied learning, students gain practical insights into how financial decision-making can support ethical business practices, climate action, and social responsibility. The competition format fosters teamwork, accountability, and leadership.

The activity culminates in a team-based challenge, with one team receiving a cash prize and an equivalent donation made to a charitable organization in their name, reinforcing the connection between financial performance and social impact.
