Designing a More Sustainable Future is a three-day, credit-bearing Innovation Sprint that engages undergraduate students from across faculties in designing prevention-oriented, regenerative solutions to sustainability challenges.

Focused on SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, the Sprint invites students to explore how products and services can be designed from the outset to prevent waste and pollution, while creating long-term environmental, social, and economic value. Participants apply systems thinking and circular design principles to rethink production and consumption models.

Working in interdisciplinary teams, students conduct research, co-design strategies, and develop evidence-informed prototypes under time constraints. The intensive format strengthens problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills while grounding learning in real-world contexts.

Students who successfully complete the Sprint earn 1.5 academic credits and contribute to applied sustainability initiatives that address pressing global challenges. The pass/fail structure encourages experimentation, reflection, and learning through practice.
