The conference brings together intergenerational Indigenous Peoples, youth, academia, government, business, and community leaders to turn global goals into local action and address Canada’s toughest sustainability challenges.
SDG Month
Building collaboration, awareness and engagement around the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this national collaborative initiative that invites all of Canada’s universities and colleges to organize workshops, panels and other interactive programming to increase awareness of and engagement with the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Youth leadership certificate program
The University of Calgary is proud to introduce the 2026 Youth Can Sustain (YCS) Certificate, modelled on the successful program from the University of Waterloo. This fully online, no-cost program is designed to equip Canadian post-secondary students with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead impactful SDG initiatives in their communities.
