Capilano River Regional Park – Forest Resiliency Project 2026
March 4 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm PST

Join EarthWorks-CapU and Metro Vancouver Regional Parks for a hands-on forest restoration event in Capilano River Regional Park. Working alongside Regional Parks staff, participants will help construct a cedar split-rail fence along unsanctioned trails in an area impacted by hemlock looper moth outbreak and off-trail activity. By redirecting foot traffic, this fencing will protect degraded understory habitat and prepare the site for future native planting.
Please note this is a physically active event — participants should be comfortable carrying 10-foot cedar beams (approximately 15 lbs) and using hammers. All tools and materials will be provided. We will meet at the Cleveland Dam parking lot and hike approximately 15 minutes to the work site.
