The University of Victoria’s Students of Global Development Studies (SGDS) union is hosting a careers night! Come chat with professionals and academics with experience in a variety of professional pathways in global development and hear about their experiences working in this diverse multi-disciplinary field. The SDGS will provide pizza!

Speakers at this event will include:

• Dr. Astrid V. Pérez Piñán, associate professor in the UVic School of Public Administration
• Dr. Tamara Plush, associate fellow at the UVic Centre for Global Studies with experience working internationally with UNICEF, UNDRR, CARE, Plan International, Save the Children, and others
• Christine Fletch, Administration & Financial Operations Manager with UVic Systems, with experience both volunteering and working in finance and operations across Africa and Asia with organizations based in Canada, the US, France, and the Czech Republic
• Ramina Johal, member of the Board of Governors at St. Margaret’s School with experience working internationally with organizations including The World Bank, The Women’s Refugee Commission, and the International Rescue Committee, as well as the UN Security Council.
